In the middle of the huge staircase at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, we created an inconspicuous cube for the exhibition “The World is Yours”. The cube housed a specially cooled interior containing an exhibit by the Finnish artist Olafur Eliasson. Within the cube visitors discovered a prototype of the hydrogen-powered BMW H2R racing car which Eliasson had covered with a complex translucent skin of steel, shiny metal plates and numerous layers of ice. The result was a fascinating art project whose special demands challenged us in a really positive way.
