90 years after the founding of the Bauhaus, ‘Model Bauhaus’ was hitherto the most extensive Bauhaus exhibition which had been put on. For the first time all three large German institutes collaborated, with the goal of preserving and exploring the Bauhaus’s heritage. Even the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York submitted exhibits to the exhibition.
