To preserve millennia-old papyrus rolls from decay, we were commissioned to produce special reading tables. The built-in mechanism enabled us to ensure that these sensitive culture treasures are only exposed to light at the behest of a visitor’s particular interest. To protect the sensitive artefacts we avoided using any gas-emitting materials such as plastic.
