The Carmeq Future Lab is a place where workspace meets research center. The new location allows for the subject area of ‘innovative Mobility’ to be examined and tested in addition to new ideas being developed. The Lab also invites visitors and employees to discover innovations within the automotive industry. kubix designed the extensive 800 sqm Future Lab for Carmeq in Salzufer area in Berlin.

Visitors can experience professional research and contribute to the newest developments through the use of ‘user experience testing’. Different areas within the lab were created to encourage employees to break out of their everyday work environment and learned patterns. The spaces can be used as meeting places, to strengthen interdisciplinary work and to enable the utilization of creative working methods. The latest product developments can be tried out in the “secret” workshop. Thanks to efficient cooperation with Carmeq, the design and planning was quickly adapted to their requirements. The entire project, from design to execution, was realized in just eight months.
