“Shifting Ground“ installation at the Venice Architecture Biennale
Ireland built a very playful installation at the 2012 Architecture Biennale in Venice. The centre of their pavilion was a 12 metre long bench, consisting of six pivoting interconnected timber beams. When a visitor took a seat on the ‘Shifting Ground’ the benches pivoted and the form of the whole piece changed.
After the successful job in Venice we accompanied the installation on its tour throughout Ireland.
